About us

Welcome to Highbridge School (prek-6th grade) - we are a Washington State Certified private school.  We are one of a kind in many ways, including one of the few private schools in Spokane, Washington!

Our school is unique, diverse, competitive, inclusive, and encouraging. One of a kind, just like you!

Highbridge School leads students to achieve their ultimate best in academic excellence! Our holistic approach develops a sense of leadership, confidence, self-awareness, empathy, community, and global responsibility; while honoring diversity and each person's voice.

Our school is unique and supported by the most recent brain research addressing the physical needs first by providing an integrative multi-sensory approach to learning.  Highbridge runs a rigorous academic program enhanced by brain and body integration techniques that increase every student's learning ability and allow each one, typical or non-typical learners, to achieve their optimal best.

Welcome to our community-minded, individual-focused, brain and body integration model! Give your child the advantage this year with a program designed specifically for their learning strengths! We love our students and the changes we see in their lives as we work alongside them each year!

Respectfully,
Jana Johnson, Director of Education
Cheri Johnson, Director of Therapy and Operations

Our school's approach to academics is rigorous, hands-on, and fun. We believe that learning should be an immersive experience that engages all the senses and integrates both the brain and body. By emphasizing movement, hands-on activities, and real-life experiences, we ensure that our students develop a deep understanding of the material and the skills they need to apply it in the real world.

At our school, we understand that each student has unique strengths and challenges when it comes to learning. That's why we take a multi-sensory approach to teaching, utilizing each student's learning strengths to help them excel in their studies. We also provide tools and strategies to help them tackle challenging areas, building their confidence and abilities. With a small classroom size and a student/teacher ratio of no more than 10 to 1, we create a supportive, diverse community that serves all students, from the gifted to the non-typical. And with monthly interactive field trips, we ensure that our students have a well-rounded, enriching educational experience.

Education should never be One-Size-Fits-All. Every person is unique, your child is unique.
